COMPARING MULTIPLE IMAGES.

Using layers and masks with photos on RAW helps to not lose any details of the photographs. Photoshop helped to layer the photos to create an idea of three people pointing in one direction.

Task One: research 2

Inspiration – The image interests me the fast that there is just people fighting against each other which shows how war is meaning that we are all fighting each other over something that isn’t important. Also the meaning could mean that we are all fighting over authority but in the end we are all human and don’t want our future to end to something so harsh with no control over ourselves.

Theme – Military theme that captures the facial expressions of both models using double image. The photographer may have wanted to create a theme of culture difficulties and how we fight each other using weapons instead of words.

Composition – Using a mirror like image capture shows attitude of different sides of the soldier.  Multiplying the models shows that the composition is showing how every point is important in the military.

Colouring – Dull colours with dark figures on the sides to create a more camouflaged feel to the image. Also the khaki colour can distinctively show that these are soldiers in the woods. The background is slightly lighter.

Task One: Research

Inspiration – The image inspires me to use one model and shoot them in different spots showing different emotions. This photo also allows you to see the direction where the soldier is heading and how that path is being set in a misty place symbolising an uncertain future. Looking at all the multiple soldier photographs you see how the 5th multiple is looking out to find an enemy.

Theme – Intention is to show how each multiple is feeling and what is the motive of the soldiers going in one direction. It also allows the theme to have multiple meanings with one being where is the future taking these soldiers also, the other could be that their motive is to kill the enemies. All multiples in one direction = one motive.

Composition – Having one model but repeated 8 times you get the impression that the photographer wants to show the emotions of one soldier in different paces along the field.  Disappearing into the background displays what the composition wants to allow the audience to feel about the soldier future. 

Colouring – Dull colouring with a dark figure and misty background softening the photograph. Contributing well to the theme of the image being: mysterious and dangerous to the soldier’s future and life.
